Mundane Appreciation Week 2

We are excited to announce the great sucess of Mundane Appreciation Week 2, as part of the Recent Graduate exhibition at the Affordable Art Fair Autumn Collection, Battersea Park, London. We had balloons, biscuits, pencils, activities, and more. We collected over 400 surveys, 110 to do lists, 25 telephone messages, and several explanations as to why people wanted one of our biscuits. We're currently working on the next issue of Mundane Survey Results.

During the event we offered a range of activities which included: Badgemaking, where people were invited to make a badge or magnet out of something they had in their handbags or pockets. This activity proved to be the most popular, it is a fun and easy way to make something mudane instantly 'cool' and attractive.

Our participants enjoyed Vegetable Peeling and Wrapping, exploring newly discovered qualities of vegetables, foil wrap and cling flim. As a favour to the staff at the AAF, we kindly accepted their challenge for us to organize and inventory a messy box of stationary from their office. We invited our viewers to help us do this as a team. Participants polished brass, changed plugs, folded clothes, wrote to do lists, and anwerphone messages. We had a brilliant time and can't wait until the next Mundane Appreciation Week.
